Bevan was a father of two. He was from Pongoroa about 51km east of Paihiatua. He was staying with his sister in Fielding.
Bevan went missing on 9 Jan 2008. He was last seen on his shift as a sheep shearer. He was dropped off at the home he was sharing with his sister, by his employer.
Wright’s car and phone were left at his home, and there has been no activity on his bank accounts.
Police searched the town’s riverbank near Aorangi Bridge.
Police were seeking information about the movements of a red 1986 Toyota Corolla, five door hatch-back., in Fielding or the wider Manawatu area.
His disappearance was featured on Police Ten 7, on Thursday , July 2 2009
Although Mr Wright is presumed dead, his body has never been found.
Wright’s mother recently passed away, not knowing what happened to her son. Wright’s remaining family need to know what happened, they deserve to get some peace.
