Distinguishing features:

Leeann was last seen wearing a bright orange hooded rain jacket, black exercise style pants and a pair of creamy brown Nike walking shoes. She left her cell phone and smokes at home.

Circumstances: 

On 12 December 2014, a few days before her birthday, Leeann left her home in Cable Bay around 10am. She was going for a walk, one that she did most mornings, she walked from her home, along a stretch of beach and over the Oruru River to Taipa.

But she never returned home.  Leeann was last seen on that day at the Taipa shops, 3km from her home. She may have been walking along State Highway 10 at Cable Bay before she disappeared.

Following her disappearance, an extensive search was carried out by Police, Fire and Far North LandSAR volunteers, but no sign of Leeann was found.

Three months after Leeann disappeared, the police reviewed her case. Police teams went door to door in the Cable Bay and Taipa areas in the hope of finding new information about Leeann. But Leeann remains missing and her body has never been found.

There were some reports of Leeann being seen in the Foxton area if so, police believe she may have hitch-hiked.
