Name:   KEVIN HARTLEY

Age: 54

Date of disappearance: Feb 16 2018

Circumstances: Kevin was last seen driving a quad bike from Parewanui Road, Scott’s Ferry to the beach towards the bombing range tower in Santoft Forest on Friday 16 February.

The Santoft Forest and beach areas have been searched extensively in both directions from where the quad bike was left but still nothing of interest has been found.

Hundreds of volunteers spent the weekend searching for 54-year-old Kevin Hartley, last seen in the Scott’s Ferry beach area near Bulls.

There was a large search for Kevin over the weekend, involving more than 250 civilian volunteers on Saturday and 63 on Sunday — that equates to about 1850 and 530 search hours respectively.

This was in addition to the Search and Rescue, military, Rural Fire and Red Cross volunteers.

There will be limited ongoing searches from now on but the investigation continues. – NZPolice 26 February 2018

Sadly, one month after Kevin disappearing, his wife passed away.

A funeral has been held for the wife of missing Bulls man Kevin Hartley.

Police confirmed Joanne Hartley had died but would not disclose the circumstances of her death.

A death notice in the Manawatū Standard on Monday said Joanne Hartley died suddenly on March 14. Her funeral was in Palmerston North on Wednesday. – March 22
